Your wedding day shouldn’t feel like one long photoshoot. You’ve spent so much time planning it, so I want you to actually enjoy it — laugh with your friends, hug your family, shed a few happy tears and dance like nobody’s watching!
That’s why I photograph weddings in a natural, documentary style. I’m there to capture the real stuff — the nerves, the laughter, the happy tears, the chaos, the hugs, the funny little moments and all those things you probably won’t even notice happening at the time.
I’m not an editorial photographer who will spend hours directing you into perfect poses. I’m much more of a quiet observer or fly on the wall, blending in with your guests and letting your day happen naturally. I don’t want to manufacture moments or make you feel like you’re constantly performing for the camera.
Of course, we’ll make time for a few family photographs and some relaxed photos of the two of you if you’d like them, but I’ll keep this part simple and relaxed. The rest of the time, you can get on with enjoying yourselves while I quietly capture the story unfolding around you.
And I’m not just there with a camera! I’m usually the one helping fluff a dress, straightening a veil, fixing a buttonhole, calming a few pre-wedding nerves or generally helping things along when needed. I’m very much part photographer, part wedding-day helper!
At the end of the day, my job is to give you photographs that don’t just show you what your wedding looked like, but remind you exactly how it felt.

Hi, I’m Amy,
Hi, I’m Amy, a Buckinghamshire wedding photographer, and 2026 is the year I properly threw myself into the world of weddings.
I live in a little village called Holmer Green, just 10 minutes from High Wycombe, so Buckinghamshire really is home for me. I decided to take the plunge with wedding photography, jumped straight into the deep end and, so far, I haven’t really looked back!
But my journey into photography actually started a little earlier.
After leaving school, I took a gap year and then decided to apply to university, choosing Nottingham to study Fashion Photography. I gave university life a good go, but after about three months I realised that, actually, uni life just wasn’t for me. So I moved back home and figured I’d work out what came next.
Life has moved on quite a bit since then. Last year I had the rather special job of being a Maid of Honour at my older sister’s wedding (photo on left of me and my family), and now I’m very excited to be becoming an auntie too. Being on the other side of the camera at my sister’s wedding gave me a whole new appreciation for just how quickly a wedding day goes — and how many little moments happen that you don’t necessarily notice at the time.
Now here I am, building my own wedding photography journey and what a year it has been.
I’ve already had the chance to photograph some brilliant people, genuine moments and wonderfully chaotic wedding days, and you can see a few of those moments throughout my gallery. 2027 is already looking pretty exciting too, with some gorgeous venues and lovely couples in the diary, and I honestly can’t wait to see what the year brings.
My approach to documentary wedding photography is pretty simple — I want to capture your wedding as it actually happens.
The laughter, the happy tears, the ridiculous moments, the hugs, the dance-floor madness and all the little things you probably didn’t even notice were happening.
I’m also neurodiverse, and while that can make life interesting at times, it has never stopped me from getting stuck in and doing something I love. If anything, I think it’s made me notice the little details and fleeting moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed.
If you’re already thinking, “Oh God, I hate having my photograph taken…” — honestly, same!
I am far happier hiding behind my camera than standing in front of one, so I completely understand that feeling of suddenly forgetting what to do with your hands when someone points a camera at you.
You really don’t have to be naturally comfortable in front of the camera. I’m not going to spend your wedding day making you pose for hours or turning everything into a photoshoot. I’ll give you a bit of direction when you need it, but most of the time I’d much rather let you get on with enjoying yourselves.
I’ll be somewhere nearby, camera in hand, looking for the moments that happen naturally — the ones that make you laugh, cry, cringe a little and think “Yep, that’s so us.”
For me, natural wedding photography isn’t about creating perfect photographs. It’s about creating photographs that feel like you.
Hopefully, when you look back at them years from now, they’ll take you straight back to how your wedding day actually felt.
That’s really what I want to give you — photographs that don’t just show you what your wedding looked like, but remind you exactly how it felt to be there.
My Approach
I’m not the type of photographer who’s going to spend your whole day posing you.
I’d much rather let things happen naturally and capture the moments as they unfold.
The emotional moments. The loud chaotic moments. The quiet little in-between moments.
That’s the stuff that matters.
From the morning preparations right through to the chaos of the dance floor, I’m there capturing it all naturally without getting in the way … although if your playlist is good enough, there’s a fair chance I’ll end up joining you on the dance floor for at least one questionable dance move.
I’m honestly there for so much more then just taking photos. I’ll fluff the dress, sort the veil, help with shoes, calm the nerves, keep everyone on schedule and probably pin a buttonhole back together at some point. I’m basically your photographer, unofficial bridesmaid, personal hype girl and professional problem solver all rolled into one.

These shoots are super relaxed and honestly just a nice way for us to get to know each other if you decide to choose me to be your wedding photographer.
Trust me, I completely get feeling awkward in front of the camera because I’m exactly the same – I’d much rather be behind it than in front of it.
That’s why I never expect you to stand there stiffly wondering what to do with your hands. We’ll chat, have a laugh, move around and just keep things natural. Before you know it, you’ll forget the camera is even there.

One thing my couples always say is how comfortable and relaxed I make them feel – and honestly that means everything to me. Whether we meet in person or jump on a zoom call, I want it to feel like you’re chatting with someone you’ve known for years, not just a wedding photographer.
I’m super laid back, friendly and probably a little too emotionally invested in making your day run smoothly. no awkward posing, no pressure, and definitely no standing around wondering what to do with your hands while I shout “just relax” from behind the camera.
I only take on a limited number of weddings each year because i genuinely want to give every couple my full energy and attention. I never want you to feel like just another booking in my diary.

You really don’t need to worry about knowing how to pose or feeling awkward in front of the camera.
Most of my couples say this before the wedding and end up saying afterwards how easy it actually felt.
I’ll guide you when you need a little direction, but most of the time I’ll just let you enjoy your day while I capture everything naturally in the background.
